ICA is entering its 128th year as a San Francisco institution for young women and its third year as a member of the Cristo Rey Network. Cristo Rey is an extraordinary program enabling our students to receive a college-prep education in the Dominican tradition, while also gaining experience in a corporate environment. Our Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose had the wisdom and foresight to join the Cristo Rey Network in 2009 and it certainly “works.”
- 100% of our senior class will attend a 2- or 4- year college or university
- The Class of 2010 was awarded over $2.5M in scholarships from colleges nationwide
- Cristo Rey students across the country earned nearly $30M for their education through the corporate work study positions.
Currently, ICA is in a $12M campaign, A Courageous Choice for the Future, to assist with transitional costs as we integrate the Cristo Rey model. As of July 2011, the campaign successfully raised $6.9M, which includes a $2M gift from the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose. While we are very proud of our campaign success, we know there is still a long journey to reach our goal of $12M. We thank you for assisting ICA in any way you can as we work towards financial self sustainability.
Thank you!
Immaculate Conception Academy has been blessed with wonderful alumnae, friends, parents, foundations and corporate sponsors moved by our mission and willing to support us. As a Cristo Rey school, ICA has entered a new stage of our long history and we are so grateful to have the continuing support of so many benefactors. It is our hope that this generosity will continue to inspire others so that we can continue to provide a quality, college-prep education to our students.
All gifts are focused on supporting our mission to prepare young women for college and a life of faith, integrity and service. As a Cristo Rey school in the Dominican tradition, we are committed to providing both excellent education and meaningful corporate work study experiences to students of limited financial resources.
