• Companies contract with Immaculate
Conception Academy (ICA) High School
for full-time administrative positions.
• Companies complete a job description
of the skills needed on the job. Students
complete a profile of their strengths and
interests. The school matches the company
with students who will perform best
in the position and have expressed an
interest in a career in the company’s industry.
• A team of four students share one job.
Students rotate their schedules, each
working approximately five full days every
four weeks. Academic schedules are
structured so that students never miss
class.
• At job sites, students work standard
business hours, usually 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are
transported to and from the job
site.
• Students are employees of
the ICA Corporate Work Study
Program. The program handles
all matters regarding each student’s
employment, including
training, payroll and employment
documents.
• The sponsors pay a set fee
directly to the ICA Corporate
Work Study Program for each fulltime
position. Each student earns
over 60% of her education costs,.
