In the beginning, France was known as Gaul.
It was ruled by Charlemagne and his ancestors until 987, when a guy named Hugh Capet was crowned king and unified the country.
France went on to become a republic. And the rest, they say, is history

The culture of France is amazingly diverse, reflecting regional differences as well as the influence of recent immigration. France has played an important role for centuries as a cultural center, with Paris as a world center of high culture.

French teenagers are just like American teens. They listen to music, go to movies and go shopping.
Teenagers in France are just like us!!!
However, they have little time to have fun because they are very occupied with their schoolwork.

French Movies - C I N E M A

Stalin invites Russian immigrants back to Russia. Little do they know, he is trapping them and kills all but a physician and his family. His French wife wants to return to her home in France and tries to escape. Their hope for freedom is dim.
Est-Oest

The movie is set in the 1940’s, during the time of World War II in France. Journalists, physicists, spies, and cabinet members all gather at the Hotel Splendide where they hide from Nazi occupation. Murderous intrigues, love affairs, and scientific secrets ensue.
Bon Voyage

In French Class we do many different activities to illustrate what we’ve learned and to help us review.
We do several small skits to illustrate the lesson and have competitions to see who can translate a phrase the fastest or correct grammar errors accurately. Some of these games we play are hangman and matching games!

In French Class, we take daily quizzes and monthly tests. The quizzes are challenging, but they test our knowledge on the material accurately. The tests are equally as difficult, but they are good preparation for the final exam at the end of the semester.

We have fun learning!
