College Applications Letter of Recommendations Scholarships College Essay Interviews Portfolios FAFSA Forms CSS Profile Cal Grants More Scholarships Sign up for tests: SAT Reasoning SAT Subject ACT w/Writing AP exam
Some students will spend hours in the Guidance Center Preparing Applications for On-Site College Admission Day – 10/18 Attending College Workshops Filling out scholarships and financial aid forms Reviewing college information Researching Scholarships Preparing for SAT or ACT
Seniors will be checking their checklist… Double Checking their Cal Grants Scholarships FAFSA Forms – begin January ‘07 Applications to UC’s, CSU’s, Privates, Out of State and Community Colleges

Some Students will be exhausted

How can you help? Occupational, CA residency and educational information and background Tax information and assets for 2006 and 2007 (estimated amounts is fine) Supply your PIN for FAFSA Supply them with scholarships (www.fastweb.com), check with your union rep or employer Assist them to fill out CSS Profile Encouragement Staying on top of them for college and GRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PowerSchool and Homework LIVE!!!!

October 12th – College Workshop (All) 2:35 - on
October 19th – College Workshop (ALL) 1:30 - on
October 27th – College Workshop (ALL) 3:05 - on

November 10th – UC Workshop ONLY – 3:05 – on
November 16th – UC Workshop ONLY – 1:30 – on
November 17th – College Workshop (All)

UC/CSU Deadline – November 30th– various for private

Most Competitive Private Colleges deadlines – January 1st
FAFSA begins – January 1st – February 15th
January 20th – Saturday – Cash For College begins at 10:00 AM
April – Priority deadline for community colleges
May 1st – SIR DEADLINE – Student Intention to Register!!
September – June – Scholarship Deadlines . . .
May 25th – Graduation!!!



Excitement is in the air!
On-Site Admission Day several students will receive acceptance letters
As early as April through March students will receive their college letters

Rejections will come…
When rejections come several options are available
Appeal for admissions or financial aid
Reevaluate what is the best fit for your daughter – academically and emotionally
