New Supercomputing Center To Advance the Science of Nanotechnology

A $100 million partnership will create the world’s most powerful university-based computing center and a top 10 supercomputing center of any kind in the world.

The Computational Center for Nanotechnology Innovations (CCNI) is designed to help continue the impressive advances in shrinking device dimensions seen by electronics manufacturers, and to extend this model to a wide array of industries that could benefit from nanotechnology. CCNI Image

75 Years of Architecture

Rensselaer's School of Architecture enrolled its first class in 1931. Three-quarters of a century later, Rensselaer continues to produce architects with broad, interdisciplinary academic backgrounds.

“Today the School of Architecture has evolved to include nearly 25 innovative faculty members, and a student body of more than 300 ambitious students who are committed to improving the quality of the built world,” says Dean Alan Balfour.

Rensselaer Athletes Post Outstanding Academic Results
2005-06 Liberty League Winter All-Academic Team

49 Rensselaer student athletes are among those honored who must have sophomore athletic standing and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20.
NFHCA National Academic Squad -
21 of Rensselaer’s 24 field hockey team members qualified for the Dean’s List last semester, and 14 of these athletes earned at least a 3.50 GPA.
