Welcome to ICA Digital Art! This course, an elective open to sophomores, juniors and seniors, explores the limitless graphic possibilities of Adobe Photoshop. Even the smaller version of the software for which ICA owns a site license, Photoshop Elements, enables the students to explore creative possiblities limited only by their imaginations and their familiarity with the program's tools. After the students have practiced using Photoshop through a variety of carefully chosen projects, they begin designing web pages that combine Photoshop with HTML image mapping. In time they develop websites linking numerous pages to one another and to other sites on the World Wide Web. Every year, each student stamps her own unique vision on the assigned projects. I take great joy in looking at these products of student imagination and technology. Digital Art is a one of a kind course that can provide students an exciting outlet for their creative imaginations through the rapidly evolving medium of digital imaging technology. Please enjoy the few among many pieces of work I have chosen from each student's portfolio.
