Founded in 1883 by Sister Maria Pia Backes, O.P. ICA is sponsored by the Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of the Queen of the Holy Rosary of Mission San Jose, California.
ICA has been accredited since 1915. Class of 2008 was awarded over $3 million dollars in scholarships which includes a Gates Millenium Scholar.
